36 bills passed by ARP since its inaugural session

The Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) has adopted 36 draft laws since its inaugural session on March 13, 2023, according to the ARP’s annual report.

The ARP had passed nine draft laws during its first legislative term, which ended on July 31, 2023, including the law establishing the National Agency for Medicines and Health Products, the law on a memorandum of understanding between Tunisia and Quebec, and the law promulgating the decree on military courts.

It also adopted 27 laws during its second term (which ended on October 3, 2023), including the anti-doping law for sport, the amended 2023 finance law, the law on Tunisia’s accession to the Council of Europe, and laws on biometric identity cards and passports.

The current ARP is composed of 154 deputies, out of 161, pending the completion of the election of the remaining members.
