Sousse: The Court of First Instance of Sousse has sentenced 50 irregular migrants from Sub-Saharan countries to eight months in prison.
The hearing of 10 other migrants has been adjourned until next Wednesday, court spokesperson Wissem Cherif told TAP.
In total, 60 migrants from Sub-Saharan countries are subject to detention warrants after their arrest during a recent large-scale security operation in Msaken and Boukhzar, governorate of Sousse.
They are accused of ‘unlawful border crossings and illegal residence in the territory.”
