APIEX signs a memorandum of understanding with WEBHELP, world No. 2 in customer relations for its establishment in Benin

The Beninese government’s efforts to improve the business climate continue to bear fruit. Land of opportunities, Benin now offers national and international investors the pledges of an atmosphere conducive to the creation of wealth.
After eight months of negotiations, WEBHELP, the world No. 2 in the customer relationship sector, has decided to settle in Benin. The Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports APIEx thus contracts a major investor. To this end, a memorandum of understanding was signed this Friday, September 17, 2021 in Cotonou between APIEx and the company WEBHELP.

This signing ceremony chaired by the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises and the Promotion of Employment Mr. Modeste Tihounté KEREKOU was attended by business leaders, the president of the national employers’ council, members of the institutions.

For the General Manager Benin Webhelp Mr. Romain PLÉ NEMO, Webhelp is a French company outsourcing customer relationship management and business support activities, created in 2010. “Number 2 in this sector, we arrive in Benin with a major challenge” he indicated.

Present in more than 50 countries with more than 80,000 employees in the world and precisely 20,000 in Africa, the Director of International Development Africa / WEBHELP Mr. Karim LAYACHI justifies the choice of Benin: “Benin fits logically into our strategy both in a complete image of ECOWAS but today with the quality of the basin that I call the talents. Talents are numerous in this country and are ready to join these important professions for the future both for the Benin but also for Africa in general “.

Satisfaction for the Director General of APIEx Mr. Laurent GANGBES: “Benin is making progress. The Government’s efforts to improve the business climate once again find concrete expression with the signing of this memorandum of understanding with WEBHELP, an international company that is setting up in our country with the immediate prospect of recruiting at least 500 young graduates from Bac + 2 to 5 and more than 2000 over the next five years.

“You have not chosen the wrong destination. You are in a country which is developing with a speed beyond the sub-regional average. You are in a country which is asserting itself as a land of opportunities for national and international investors “insists Minister Modeste Tihounté KEREKOU before noting the following” The Government ensures that all investors focus on their activities and especially prosper in our country. This is what justifies the implementation of several reforms. We are open to a market of more than 250 million consumers. I am sure that within a few years you will double, triple the number of jobs to be created. ”

The signing of the memorandum of understanding which consecrates the installation of this giant in the customer relations sector, put an end to the ceremony.
