Burkina: The Minister in charge of Education achieves 65% of the objectives assigned to his department in the first half of 2024

The Minister in charge of Education, Jacques Sosthène Dingara, welcomed Thursday in Ouagadougou the action of all stakeholders which made it possible to achieve 65% of the objectives assigned to his department.

‘Halfway through, we can say that we have achieved a rate of around 65%. The stakeholders have invested enormously so that we can reach this rate mid-term,’ rejoiced the Minister in charge of Education, Jacques Sosthène Dingara.

The minister spoke Thursday in Ouagadougou during the half-yearly evaluation session of the target contracts of the various ministries.

For Mr. Dingara, these results are to the credit of all the actors of the ministerial department and the partners ‘who supported the realization of these activities’.

According to him, the objectives assigned to his department for the year 2024 are, among others, support for students and learners in areas with strong security challenges, reform of the education system through the integration of initiation to professions, the integration of
a certain number of civic education values, and the construction of school infrastructure to improve access to education.

He also mentioned another objective relating to the formalization and promotion of national languages ??in the country.

The minister was delighted with the ‘brilliant’ organization of school exams ‘without major incident in a difficult context’.
