Tunis: The city of Douz, Kébili, and Chatt Ejrid are playing host as of Saturday to the 15th edition of the Tunis Fashion Week.
The three-day event will see the participation of fashion designers and models from several countries, said organiser Anis al Montasser.
Al Montasser Saturday further told TAP guests from Portugal, Algeria, China, Russia, Italy, Spain, Germany and France are attending the event. Partnership agreements are expected to be signed to organise joint fashion shows.
Twenty international fashion designers are participating in this edition, he added.
The Tunisian Vocational Training Agency is participating for the fourth time in this event, said Information Officer Faten Al-Adsi.
Twenty-three young trainees in clothing representing the vocational training centres of Manouba, Ariana, La Goulette, Tunis, Ksar Helal, Sfax and Monastir will have their designs displayed.
These designs focus on theme of women’s Djeans overalls. The fabric is made from SEAQUAL, a high quality recycled polyeste
r yarn made from 100% recycled materials including post consumer plastic bottles and plastic captured from the sea.
The fashion show, she also said, is an opportunity to acquire experience and learn more about fashion trends.
