The regional section of the Tunisian National Bar Association, on Wednesday, received notification of the initiation of legal proceedings against lawyers Bochra Belhaj Hmida, Ayachi Hammami, Ahmed Néjib Chebbi and Noureddine Bhiri, the section’s president Laroussi Zguir told TAP news agency. Zguir added that this is a procedure provided for in Article 46 of Decree-Law No. 2011-79 of August 20, 2011, on the organisation of the legal profession. The procedure stipulates that in the event of criminal proceedings against a lawyer, the president of the competent regional section must be informed immediately.
