Details of some 23,000 citizens were updated so far ahead of December 24 local elections, said coordinator of the Independent Regional Election Authority in Bizerte Ibtisam Turki.
Permanent and field teams will be deployed until October 28, date on which the second phase of the electoral register updating process is due to start.
The third phase of this updating process is due to run from November 9 to December 8. Candidacies will be filed starting October 23.
