The National Salvation Front organised a march on Sunday in solidarity with the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance facing the aggression of the occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.

Around 2,000 people took part in the march, which started from Bab El Bhar Square and headed towards the Municipal Theatre, chanting slogans in support of the Palestinian people fighting to liberate their occupied territories and against France and the United States of America, “which are complicit in this attack along with Israel for its crimes against the Gaza Strip.”

In a speech delivered at the rally, President of the National Salvation Front, Ahmed Nejib Chebbi, reiterated his firm position on the side of the Palestinian resistance.

He denounced the support given by France and the US to the Israeli occupation forces at the expense of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people struggling to regain their stolen land.

Participants in the march, including Samir Dilou, Imed Khemiri, spokesperson for the Ennahdha movement, and Abdellatif Mekki, secretary-general of the “Work and Achievement” (Amal we Injaz) party, also raised the situation of detainees on charges of conspiring against state security.

The marchers then made a donation to a campaign organised by the Tunisian Union for Social Solidarity (UTSS) in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, who are under constant attack by the Israeli occupation.
