President Kais Saied held a meeting on Wednesday afternoon at the Carthage Palace with Minister of Health Ali Mrabet, Minister Advisor to the President of the Republic Mustapha Ferjani and President of the Tunisian Red Crescent Abdellatif Chabo.
The meeting discussed the procedures for Tunisia to receive, as soon as possible, a number of wounded victims of the brutal Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in coordination with the various sectors concerned: the Ministry of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Immigration, Tunisians abroad, Health, Transport and the Tunisian Red Crescent.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic, the Palestinian brothers will be welcomed by public and private hospitals that have agreed to take part in this sacred mission, as well as by pharmacists and doctors.
The President of the Republic pointed out that the reception of the Palestinian brothers in Tunisia reflects the will of the Tunisian people and shows that “solidarity is no
t solidarity through declarations, but solidarity in practice.”
The President of the Republic recommended that the Tunisian people continue to airlift aid to their brothers in Palestine via the Tunisian Red Crescent.
