Prime Minister chairs ministerial working session on start of school year

A Ministerial working session, was held on Friday at the prime ministry in La Kasbah, under chairmanship of Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani, during which several issues were debated including salary increases of graduates with a degree in education sciences and substitute teachers as well as providing social security coverage for the new school year 2023.

The same increases will also apply to contract teachers in addition to the recruitment of 100 graduates of l’École Normale Supérieure (ENS).

The meeting, which was devoted to the back to school and university, recommended sorting out situation of 1,018 teachers of social education (adult education and lifelong learning) as part of the State efforts to combat illiteracy.

An agreement was also reached to increase (from 50 to 100 dinars) the back-to-school allowance for the benefit of nearly 500,000 students who come from poor families with limited income.

The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Sihem Boughdiri Nemsia, Social Affairs Minister Malek Ezzahi, Education Minister Mohamed Ali Boughdiri and Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Moncef Boukthir.
