The campaign for the local council elections in the governorate of Siliana is ongoing.
Candidates Abdessalem Oueslati and Mohamed Kamel Arfaoui who are running for the constituencies of Ain Zrig (Gaafour delegation) and north Bourouis (Bourouis delegation), respectively, launched on Monday their election campaigns.
Oueslati told TAP that his election manifesto aims to break the isolation of the region, ensure the supply of drinking water to the local population, distribute state-owned land to unemployed young people to set up projects and fit out agricultural tracks.
Candidate Arfaoui undertook to endeavour to bring public services closer to the people, support the opening of Route Nationale 5, encourage the recruitment of specialist doctors at the local hospital and create sources of income to reduce unemployment in his locality.
