The implementation rate of the State budget, estimated at TND 69.9 billion, stood at 36.5% at the end of May 2023, while the total recoveries amounted to TND 16.9 billion up 10.5%, according to data provided by the Finance Ministry. The same statistical data, presented recently by representatives of the Finance Ministry to the Finance Committee of the Assembly of People’s Representatives, revealed a fall in non-tax revenues expected to be raised over the coming months. According to the same data, tax revenues collected up to the end of May 2023 rose by 9.6% compared with the same period the previous year. The Finance Ministry estimated that capital expenditure had reached TND 1.3 billion by the end of May 2023, i.e. a rate of implementation of around 29.4%, compared with 25.1% in 2022.
