Stock Market closes Wednesday session on near-stable note

The stock market concluded Wednesday’s session on a note of relative stability. The benchmark index saw a modest uptick of 0.09%, reaching 8596.53 points in a reduced trading volume of TND 1.8 million, as reported by broker Tunisie Valeurs.

Euro-Cycles took the lead in the market, with the cycle manufacturer’s stock surging by 4.7% to TND 15.390 in a trading volume of TND 183,000.

Tawasol Group Holding exhibited a commendable performance during the session, with the holding company’s stock appreciating by 4.2% to TND 0.740, generating a transaction volume of TND 79,000. This further solidifies the stock’s annual gains, now standing at an impressive +23.3%.

On the downside, SERVICOM experienced the most severe correction in the session. With a meagre transaction volume of TND 3,000, the stock declined by 4.8% to TND 0.200.

Also in the red, Alkimia’s stock depreciated by 4.5%, closing the session at TND 28.650. The pharmaceutical laboratory’s stock witnessed limited trading activity of TND 1,000, maintaini
ng its annual performance in negative territory (-19.1%).

UIB emerged as the most traded stock of the session. The private bank’s stock injected capital into the market, reaching TND 251,000 in trading. It is worth noting that the stock concluded the session with a slight increase of 0.4%, closing at TND 25.100.
