Ouagadougou: Youth representatives from sector 4 of Solenzo gave mattresses to the special delegation for both Urban Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) 1 and 2 of Solenzo, on Wednesday August 7, 2024.
According to the president of the municipal youth council of sector 4, Harouna Gnata, it is a youth initiative to help the urban health centers of Solenzo.
‘We approached the major of CSPS urban 1 who told us that almost all the mattresses are dilapidated. This is why we decided to make contributions between young people to pay for mattresses in order to support our CSPS,’ confided Mr. Gnata.
In his opinion, they sent letters to their parents and residents of the area. And this is what made it possible to mobilize the sum necessary to acquire 10 mattresses worth approximately 350,000 FCFA.
These mattresses were handed over Wednesday morning to the first vice-president of the special Solenzo delegation for the health district.
For him, this donation from the youth of sector 4 to the two CSPS in the mu
nicipality of Solenzo will ‘relieve the sick’. Also, he invited all the youth of the Banwa province to do the same, because ‘no one will come and develop our province in our place’.
The representative of the head doctor of the Solenzo health district, Dr Éloi Tiendrébéogo, thanked the donors for this gesture.
‘You made this donation for the entire Banwa province. Because since the resumption of activities in health centers, the need for medical materials is enormous. And, your gesture fills a hole,’ added Dr Tiendrébéogo.
