The 48 electoral obervers, who have been recruited recently, by the Independent Regional Authority for Elections (IRIE) in Tozeur, took oath, Tuesday, before the substitute Public Prosecutor, as part of the preparations for the next local elections, scheduled for December 24,
The swearing-in took place in preparation for the smooth running of this electoral event, by supervising the human resources, member of IRIE in Tozeur Boulbaba Mhamdi, told TAP.
The newly recruited obervers, Monday, received a training on the rules of the electoral campaign, particularly in terms of controlling campaigns and their financing, according to the same source.
The IRIE in Tozeur has updated the electoral data of nearly 20,000 citizens in the region, he said, recalling that 157 candidates in the governorate are running for the elections of local councils.
