Tunindex drops -0,54% on Friday

Tunindex continued its downward trend, dropping -0.54% during Friday’s session and accumulating about 8498.52 points with a substantial trading volume of TND 11.4 million, as reported by Tunisie Valeurs, the stock market intermediary.

A block transaction worth TND 7.1 million involving Amen Bank shares injected momentum.

ENNAKL displayed the most robust performance of the session with its shares taking the top spot as they advanced by 3.4% to reach TND 11.370. The trading volumes were modest, amounting to TND 2,000.

With a transaction value of TND 1.3 million, BT shares posted a modest gain of 0.8%, closing at TND 5.240. The private bank has followed a relatively uneventful stock market trajectory, recording an increase of only +6.6% since the beginning of the year.

SOMOCER posted the sharpest decline. The ceramic specialist saw its share price drop by 5.2% to TND 0.730, with a trading volume of TND 21,000. A decline of -7.6% since the start of the year was reported.

BIAT experienced a 2.2% decline, closing at TND 88.040, with a meagre trading volume of TND 344,000. At this point, the bank has erased all gains accumulated since the beginning of the year, ending the Friday session with a flat annual performance.

Amen Bank shares were the most actively traded with a trading volume of around TND 7.3 million, primarily due to a TND 7.1 million block transaction. The share price saw a slight uptick of 0.52%, closing at TND 38.900.
