A foreign traveler carrying over 2,286 kilograms of a white narcotic substance was arrested, Monday, by customs officers at the Tunis Carthage International Airport.
The narcotic substance, hidden in a plastic bag, was detected in the passenger’s suitcase, during a thorough check of baggage at customs checkpoints, the General Directorate of Customs said in a statement on Monday.
An investigation was launched into the incident.
