National carrier Tunisair took delivery of a new aircraft on Friday, marking the culmination of its fleet renewal programme of five next-generation A320neo aircraft, the Ministry of Transport announced.

Tunisair has already received four A320neo aircraft, which were delivered in December 2021, February 2022, October 2022 and December 2022. The A320neo seats 150 passengers, 12 in Business Class and 138 in Economy Class. It is equipped with state-of-the-art technology designed to reduce fuel consumption by an impressive 20% compared to Tunisair’s previous generation aircraft.

According to the Ministry of Transport, Tunisair’s new acquisitions will have the dual benefit of improving services and ensuring punctuality, thereby strengthening the national carrier’s network and extending its reach to untapped markets.
