Tunisia attends 2nd Regional Simulation on Referral of Victims of Human Trafficking in Southern Mediterranean

Tunisia is attending the 2nd Regional Simulation on Referral of Victims of Human Trafficking in Southern Mediterranean held on September 25-29 in Baeza (Spain).

The event is held at the initiative of the Europe Council, in partnership with the European Union, under the title “Towards a victim-centred approach in criminal proceedings.”

This edition will bring together more than 100 participants, including experts, representatives of governments as well as legal professions ( judges and prosecutors, law enforcement), health and social welfare professionals and abour inspectors. This in addition to civil society and media from Tunisia, Belgium, Cape Verde , Egypt, France, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Senegal and Spain.

This 2nd edition will focus on judicial proceedings in criminal matters with an emphasis on the role of justice stakeholders.

The simulation will emphasise the importance of multi-agency coordination in ensuring that victims’ rights are respected in line with a human rights-based approach.
