Tunisia commends bravery of Palestinian people on 76th anniversary of Nakba

Tunis: Tunisia reaffirmed its unconditional support for the Palestinian people in their struggle to restore their legitimate and historical rights as the 76th anniversary of the Nakba is commemorated.

This commemoration is an opportunity to recall the resistance of this people to Zionist occupation and their decades-long struggle to achieve their legitimate aspiration to establish an independent state, reads a Foreign Ministry press release.

Tunisia also voices deep concern about the situation of civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Palestinians are facing crimes against humanity, methodical genocide and attempts at repression and displacement by the occupying forces in the Gaza Strip- a blatant and unprecedented violation of all international conventions and human and moral values, the ministry denounced.

Tunisia commends the bravery of the brotherly Palestinian people who are facing alone the brutality of the Zionist entity, “amid a disturbing and shameful silence from the international
community,” the press release reads.
