The Centre for Export Promotion (CEPEX) participated via its commercial representation in Abuja, Nigeria, in the AFRITRADE B2B 2023 Forum on July 13-14.

AfritradeB2B is a business meeting and exchange event. It is a platform that creates opportunities for participants to build profitable business partnerships with stakeholders and players in key sectors of the African economy.

The CEPEX stand provided a meeting point and a space for exchange, networking and promotion not only for Nigerian information seekers, but also for participants from neighbouring countries such as Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and Ghana.

The first edition of this event brought together more than 150 Nigerian companies and 30 operators from 7 African countries, and was also attended by various Nigerian institutional and professional organisations, including NAFDAC, SON, NACCIMA, the Ministry of Trade and Investment, Nigerian Customs, and the African Export-Import Bank, etc.

The various panels organised on the sidelines of the forum and moderated by Nigerian and African experts dealt with opportunities for developing trade, investment, African integration and the complementarity of value chains under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

The Nigerian market still offers a huge potential for Tunisians wishing to enter it, notably for electrical products, construction materials, vegetable oils and fats, including margarine in particular, olive oil and its fractions, chemical fertilisers and hygienic paper products, to bolster plasters, the Tunisian star product present everywhere in this major West African country.

The Forum was organised by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Investment and in partnership with CMD Trade Entreprises and KVS International.
