The Tunis Court of Appeal, on September 28, authorised the Public Prosecutor at the Tunis Court of First Instance to refer two female lawyers to the investigating judge for having reported in the media on the case of plotting against State security.

Both lawyers are also accused of making false allegations against a public official, said Spokesperson for the Tunis Court of Appeal Habib Torkhani.

The investigating judge had previously banned media coverage of the case, he told TAP, adding that this decision had been approved by the indictment division handling counter-terrorism cases.
