A young man who allegedly killed his girlfriend at a place called ‘derriere immeuble rose’ in Odza-Yaounde was found dead a stone’s throw from the crime scene on January 30, 2024.

It is believed he took away his own life by hanging.

Sources said the alleged murderer, killed his girlfriend for dumping him because of his violent character for another man.

Those who know about the incident said on Monday, January 29, 2024, he invited the lady to an unusual place to collect money for their three-year-old daughter’s upkeep.

She was accompanied by her new boyfriend whom she asked to wait for her at a distance from the appointment venue. After a long silence without returning, the new boyfriend followed the path she took but only discovered she had been decapitated.

He raised an alarm and a manhunt was launched to lay hands on the alleged murderer, who was later found hanging dead on a tree, not far from where the lady was murdered.

An investigation has been opened to shed light on the passionate crime.

A man in his 30s named, Talla Mandela is now battling for his life after he was stabbed in the ribs by unidentified individuals around Denver, a locality in Bonamoussadi, Douala V sub-division.

He is currently under medical attention at the Laquintinie Hospital.

The victim who works at the Douala Seaport was attacked at his residence as he returned from work.

‘Mandela drove home from work. Some unknown men with a knife attacked him at the gate and stabbed him about three times before neighbors came to his rescue when they heard him screaming’. A resident explained.

The attackers escaped abandoning the knife on the crime scene.

Nothing was taken from Talla Mandela, raising suspicion it could be a score-settling affair.

‘He managed to tell us when asked, that nothing was taken from him. His phones were in his car and the money he had on him was intact. Maybe someone sent the attackers to settle scores.’ A neighbor hinted.
