Ouagadougou: The governor of the Northern region, Issouf Ouédraogo, chaired the second ordinary session of the regional dialogue framework (CRD), on Tuesday August 6, 2024 in Ouahigouya.

The action plan for stabilization and development implemented by the transitional authorities in 2023 makes it possible to develop coherent development tools.

At the regional level, the dialogue framework is responsible for monitoring development policies.

It is in this sense that the statutory members of the regional dialogue framework, led by the governor of the Northern region, met in ordinary session on Tuesday August 6, 2024 in the city of Naaba Kango.

The objective was to take stock at mid-term of the performance of the 2024 national development policy, then to revise the regional stabilization and development action plan for the years 2024-2026.

For the governor of the Northern region, also president of the ceremony, ‘the overall objective of this session is to examine and adopt the regional mid-term performance r
eport 2024 of the national policy for the development of a on the one hand, and on the other hand to revise the region’s stabilization and development action plan for the period 2024-2026.

It appears that for the first half of 2024, out of 119 expected products, 13 are fully produced, 39 are being delivered and 67 have not yet been started, resulting in an execution rate of 16%.

Regarding financial performance, out of a forecast of 12.15 billion CFA francs, 1.93 billion FCFA was spent, representing an overall financial execution rate of 16%.

These physical and financial achievement rates are quite low due to the security situation according to technical and financial partners.

‘We thank the population of the Northern region for their resilience on all levels. Low execution rates for the 2024 semester are largely due to insecurity.

To achieve the expected results, we invite all stakeholders to cultivate patriotism by being up to date with their taxes,’ suggested the regional director of economy and planni
ng for the North (DREP), Polycarpe Narré.

In perspective, 131 products are expected to be produced by the end of 2024 for a financial envelope of 16.5 billion CFA francs.

‘You are the one who knows your localities. You must be able to choose the places where you believe it is possible to carry out activities in order to obtain the expected results,’ suggested Governor Issouf Ouédraogo.
