Post: 2024 Presidential Elections: Submission of candidacies kicked off

Tunis: On the occasion of the start of the submission of candidacies for the presidential elections of October 6, 2024, President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Farouk Bouasker called on all candidates to finalize and submit their complete files during this week in order to avoid time pressure.The ISIE will be receiving candidacies until August 6, 2024. Candidates or their duly authorized representatives must submit their files directly to the central headquarters of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE), in Tunis, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.Speaking to journalists, the President of the Authority specified that the reception of candidacies will be followed by a 4-day appeal period, from August 7 to 10, 2024.He added in the same context that the ISIE will hold a council on August 11 to examine all applications for applications and announce the preliminary list of successful candidates.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
