Abuja: H.E. Paulette ADJOVI YEKPE, the Ambassador of Benin to Nigeria and Permanent Representative to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), concluded her mission with a farewell visit to H.E. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission. The meeting took place in Abuja, Nigeria on September 19, 2025.
According to African Press Organization, the discussions between Ambassador YEKPE and President Touray, which included the presence of Mr. Abdou Kolley, Chief of Staff to the President of the ECOWAS Commission, covered several issues of regional political interest. This meeting came on the heels of the celebration of ECOWAS's 50th anniversary.
H.E. Omar Alieu Touray conveyed the ECOWAS Commission's deep appreciation for Ambassador YEKPE’s significant contributions and unwavering support for the activities of ECOWAS. He acknowledged her human and professional qualities, and thanked her for the vital role she played during her tenure.
