Last evening at about 6 pm, another fire broke out at Foncha Street, Bamenda III subdivision.
The fire consumed the top floor of a storey-building, belonging to one retired Delegate of Basic Education.
The report says it was only thanks to the intervention of the population, who controlled the fire before the firefighters came about an hour later to contain the fire.
The material damage is still to be determined, but eyewitness report says the damage is huge because only a few items were saved by the population.
The exact cause of the fire is still to be established. This is the second fire incident in the City of Bamenda within 72 hours after a local spice factory went into flames on Monday night.
