Post: Bamenda: One die, six injured in IED explosion

A petit trader called Chung Juliet from Mboh Oku but resident in Bamenda, North West region, died on Thursday September 19, 2024, gollwing an explosion around the Nkwen Market.

Suspected Ambazonia fighters planted an IED at the market allegedly targeting women selling there. The explosive was remote controlled from a distance, causing damages to bystanders.

Chung Juliet paid with her life while six others were injured and taken to the Bamenda Regional hospital.

The SDO of Mezam, Simon Emile Mooh sent his condolences to the families of the victims and called on the population to collaborate with security forces so that the perpetrators will be arrested.
