The members of the provincial consultation framework met on Friday August 16 in the meeting room of the Solenzo town hall for the first session of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) for the year 2024.
The Top -Commissioner of the Banwa province, Oumarou Sandwidi, chaired the first session of the provincial consultation framework.
According to Mr. Sandwidi, the CCP aims to strengthen local governance by creating a space conducive to collaboration and regular consultation, thus facilitating a synergy of action by all local actors for better coordination of local development. sustainable.

The secretary general of the Banwa province, Abdoul Kader Kongzabré, presented the security situation in the province as a whole.
Through its presentation the province with an area of ??5400km² has 6 departments and 115 villages.
According to him, out of the 6 departments at least 4 departments have a somewhat stable security situation compared to
the municipalities of Solenzo which needs a sweep and the department of Sami which is currently under terrorist influence.
The provincial director in charge of humanitarian action took stock of the situation of internally displaced people in the province, estimated at 45,749 IDPs of whom 31,940 received support.
Proposals for ending the crisis are formulated by the presenters in their presentations.
The president of the special delegation from the Kouka department, Raymond Ilboudo, made a presentation of the achievements of the Emergency Territorial Development and Resilience Project (PUDTR), deemed satisfactory by the various participants.
The representative of the Chief Medical Officer of the health district (MCD), Dr Éloi Tiendrébéogo, and the provincial director in charge of agriculture respectively took stock of the health and agricultural situation.
Fruitful exchanges allowed participants to be on the same level of information.
At the end of the work, the commander of the 18th BIR based in Solenzo
came to speak with the participants on the fight against terrorism and also ask for everyone’s collaboration to end the crisis in the Banwa province.
