Banked blood is a limited resources in many country’s on the continent. In Benin, part of the difficulties in getting people to donate are cultural beliefs that mean many communities are suspicious of doing so. But experts reckon that a chronic and fatal shortage of blood banks could be fixed if just 1 percent of the country gave blood.
