Roberto Zinli, also known as Président Djangoun, is a fashion designer and social media star in Benin who turns waste into wearable art. Concerned about environmental degradation, he began recycling materials like plastic, metal, wood, and rubber—especially aluminum cans—to create bold, upcycled fashion.
According to Deutsche Welle, Zinli's designs have reached runways in the capital Porto-Novo, and he teaches sustainable practices at fashion schools. Zinli also advocates for reusing non-biodegradable clothing to reduce pollution and carbon emissions.
