Post: Boris Enow secures AFCON qualification for Cameroon

The Indomitable Lions have grabbed their ticket to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations following a 1-0 win over Kenya in Kampala with two games to spare.

Enow’s 63rd-minute free-kick goal was enough to clinch the win for Cameroon, who have now amassed 10 points from four games and have ensured their qualification for the tournament in Morocco.

The win over Kenya is Cameroon’s first away victory in this campaign and under coach Marc Brys who still has two games against Zimbabwe at home and Namibia away.

While Cameroon have secured their place, the fight for the second qualifying spot in group J is still ongoing, with Zimbabwe currently sitting in pole position with eight points from four games while Kenya will be pushing hard to overhaul Zimbabwe’s position, having accrued four points from their four games.

Zimbabwe’s 3-1 win over Namibia on day 4 has put pressure on Kenya who will have to beat Zimbabwe and Namibia and then hope for already qualified Cameroon to win Zimbabwe, but before anything, Kenya must foc
us on maximizing points from their remaining games.
