Mouhoun: The Boucle du Mouhoun region has reported an impressive overall success rate of 80.30% in the 2025 session of the Professional Qualification Certificate (BQP), as announced by the regional directorate responsible for Secondary Education on July 29, 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, 84 candidates registered for the examinations; however, only 66 participated, with 18 absentees distributed across three specialisms. Metal construction saw 5 absences, automotive maintenance had 4, and styling-modeling recorded 9 absentees. Despite these absences, the overall success rate remained unaffected.
Among those who attended the exams, notable performances were observed in two specialities. In metal construction, all 15 candidates succeeded, achieving a perfect 100% success rate. This outcome highlights the quality of training in this field and the students' proficiency in metal structure assembly.
In automotive maintenance, all 21 candidates passed, also reaching a 100% success rate. This outstanding performance underscores the robust educational framework designed to support careers in mechanics and automotive maintenance.
Conversely, the styling and modeling specialism experienced a mixed outcome. Out of the 30 candidates who participated, 17 passed, resulting in a 56.67% success rate. Although this figure is below the regional average, it indicates potential in this creative sector, suggesting a need for enhanced training and supervision to improve skills in mixed sewing.
These results contribute to Boucle du Mouhoun's overall success rate of 80.30% for the 2025 BQP session. This achievement is attributed to the dedication of trainers, the candidates' efforts, and the ongoing oversight by educational authorities.
The regional management extended congratulations to the successful candidates and encouraged those who did not pass to continue their efforts. They also expressed a commitment to bolstering support and training programs to address the demand for skilled professionals in the region and the country. Additionally, there was a call for strategies to combat exam absenteeism to further enhance future vocational training outcomes.
