Post: Burkina: Economic actors recommend refocusing the State-private sector dialogue on the fight against terrorism

The private sector general assembly recommended this Saturday the 'rebuilding' of the dialogue between the State and private sector partners in order to refocus it around the priorities of the nation and the war economy."Private sector actors have recommended, among other things, the reestablishment of a State-Private Sector dialogue around the priorities of the Nation and the challenges of economic development; the establishment of a framework for consultation on strategic and development issues; the development of a code of good conduct for strategic companies; the establishment of a war economy built on effective synergies between the State and the private sector...", reports the communications department of the Ministry of Communication.At the closing ceremony of the meeting chaired by the Minister of State, government spokesperson Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the participants also recommended taking strong measures to protect the actors in the cotton value chain in Burkina Faso or the development of init iatives for the involvement of the expertise of the diaspora in the construction of Burkina Faso.The participants also made a commitment to continue promoting tax civic-mindedness among private sector players; promoting emerging sectors in line with the needs of the national economy to facilitate the integration of young graduates from public and private universities. Finally, they resolved to offer more internship positions to public and private sector students and to play their part in supporting the agro-pastoral offensive with a view to achieving food self-sufficiency."The milestones for the development of an emerging and efficient private sector have just been launched. It is up to economic players to get involved in this highway of the future so that more national champions are born and grow who will conquer opportunities for our country," declared Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, representing the head of government at this meeting.The general meeting of the private sector was held from September 5 to 7 under the theme "What contribution does the private sector make to the economic and social development of Burkina Faso?
