The Professional Group of the Cinema Industry, a union within the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises (CONECT), has officially taken shape following the elective general assembly of the board of directors held on Monday afternoon at the headquarters of CONECT.
The new trade association covers all segments of the film industry’s value chain (from pre-production to production, post-production, distribution and exhibition on platforms and in cinemas).
Its aim is to unite efforts to support the reform process of the sector and to submit a draft law on the film industry to the Parliament.
Its objectives include presenting new legislative texts to improve the functioning of the National Centre for Cinema and Images (CNCI), drawing up a coherent work plan for tax and customs benefits for the film industry, and presenting practical proposals to facilitate the procedures for obtaining bank financing for the film industry.
The elected board is composed as follows

Vice-President in charge of distribution companies and broadcasting platforms Majdi Hsini
