Post: Construction of Industrial Park in Narok Promises Employment Surge

NAROK: The construction of an industrial park in the Limanet area of Narok town is expected to significantly boost employment opportunities for the youth in the region. This development is anticipated to be a major economic catalyst for the county, providing both direct and indirect benefits to its residents.

According to Kenya News Agency, Narok Peace Ambassador Dr. Joshua Kaputa emphasized the transformative potential of the industrial park, which is set to be inaugurated during an upcoming presidential visit to Narok town. Dr. Kaputa highlighted the harmonious coexistence of the county's diverse population, which has attracted investors and fostered business growth in the area. He shared these remarks at a peace rally in Narok town attended by hundreds of youths and business community members.

Dr. Kaputa urged the youth to support their elected leaders, underscoring the importance of holding them accountable to their campaign promises. He stressed that leaders who fail to deliver services risk being voted out in future elections.

Maasai Mara Student Association President Jerry Ayieko echoed these sentiments, expressing the high expectations young people have from the current administration. Ayieko commended President William Ruto for incorporating youth in key governmental roles, notably the appointment of Maasai Mara University alumna Fikirini Jacobs as the Principal Secretary of Youth Affairs.

In previous statements, Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu outlined the components of the forthcoming industrial park, which will include a meat processing factory, milk plant, and potato processing plant. Governor Ntutu noted that this initiative would remedy the challenges faced by Narok farmers, who have long been exploited by middlemen due to the absence of a local market. The industrial park will provide a robust market for both crop and livestock farmers, thereby enhancing the living standards in the county.
