Mina: On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held the annual reception at the Royal Court in Mina Palace. The event was attended by distinguished figures including President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani of Mauritania, President Dr. Mohamed Moiz of the Maldives, and Vice President of Benin, Mrs. Mariam Chabi Talata Zimi Berima, among others.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the reception began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He expressed congratulations on Eid al-Adha and highlighted Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving pilgrims. The Crown Prince also addressed the ongoing suffering in Palestine, urging the international community to protect civilians and seek peace.
Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, discussed the significant preparations for this year's Hajj. He noted that the Hajj system achieved unprecedented integration and efficiency, supported by the Supreme Hajj Committee and the Hajj Project Management Office. Key achievements included enhancements in energy projects, transportation, healthcare, and infrastructure aimed at improving the pilgrimage experience.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Hussein, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, emphasized the role of Hajj in unifying the Islamic community. He praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause and promoting reconciliation and harmony among Muslims.
Sheikh Mohammed Abu Al-Khair Shukri, Minister of Endowments from Syria, expressed gratitude for the Kingdom's efforts in facilitating Hajj. He highlighted the continuous development of infrastructure and smart services, which align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
The event concluded with attendees greeting the Crown Prince and sharing a meal, marking a successful gathering aimed at enhancing collaboration and unity among Islamic nations.
