Democratic Current Secretary-General Nabil Hajji said Friday that the party will hold its third congress on April 28-30.
Hajji told TAP that the congress, which will be held under the slogan “Congress of perseverance and renewal,” will examine and adopt three basic motions: A political motion, an economic and social motion and one of evaluation and revision.
The congress will also evaluate the past period and review some of its choices to improve the party’s action and performance, he explained.
A new secretary general will be elected at the congress, as well as the members of the different structures, including the political bureau (20 members) and the national council (30 members), he added.
Explaining the reasons for the postponement of the congress which had been scheduled for last year, Hajji explained that the party’s rules of procedure provide for the possibility of postponing the congress if it coincides with an election year.
