Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, stressed Tunisia’s commitment to further strengthening its legislative and legal framework for human rights in line with international standards, in remarks delivered on Monday at the “Human Rights 75” event organised by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva.
He also reiterated Tunisia’s commitment to complete the installation of its constitutional and other institutions to support efforts to promote the human rights system.
The Minister also noted that Tunisia was continuing its efforts to promote local and regional development and to combat poverty and regional disparities through a comprehensive and integrated approach.
He also said that Tunisia was continuing its efforts to combat all forms of violence against women and girls and to support the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the recovery of all their occupied lands.
