Foreign Minister Valtonen to Meet African, Central American, and Asian Counterparts at Kultaranta Talks


Helsinki: Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen is set to meet with key ministers from Kenya, Benin, Costa Rica, and Thailand during the Kultaranta Talks scheduled for 16-17 June. The discussions will be held at the Kultaranta presidential summer residence, focusing on pressing global issues that challenge the established international order.

According to African Press Organization, the participating officials include Musalia Mudavadi, the Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya; Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Benin; Arnoldo AndrĂ© Tinoco, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica; and Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand. They will join Foreign Minister Valtonen in a panel discussion titled “Accumulation of Shocks at the Global Level – What the West Should Understand” on 16 June. The panel aims to explore regional and international developments that are impacting the rules-based international system.
