Ghana inaugurates the Royal Ghana Gold Refinery in Accra, marking a step towards the industrialization of its gold sector. With a production capacity of 400 kg per day, the project aims to increase the value added of local gold, create jobs and strengthen the economy, and strengthen Ghana's position in the global gold market.A few months ago, Burkina Faso announced the construction of its first gold refinery in Ouagadougou, and Mali similarly signed an agreement with Russia for the construction of a new refinery in Bamako.These initiatives show a growing trend towards industrialization of the sector in Africa.Source: Africa News Agency
