Tunis: 'No impact has yet been reported at national level from the huge outage reported on Friday at Microsoft,' head of the Computer Emergency Response Department at the National Cyber Security Agency (ANCS) Mohamed Ali Ben Mabrouk told TAP.'The worldwide outage at Microsoft is a technical failure that affected only Microsoft Windows systems using the CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor application, designed to block security vulnerabilities. This failure is due to a faulty update of this application," he explained.'According to the information collected by the ANCS to date, no national structure has reported any impact,' he underlined, adding that 'this is not a cyber-attack but a technical failure, and it is up to the suppliers of this application to provide the necessary corrective measures to restore the affected systems. Efforts are underway globally to correct this outage."Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
