Post: Gourma/Patriotic Immersion: The Governor of Gulmu Urges the Immersed to Embody Patriotic Values

Fada n'gourma: The Governor of the Gulmu region, Ram Joseph Kafando, met with the new high school graduates enrolled in the patriotic immersion program. After the raising of the national colors, he read Captain Ibrahim Traor©'s message regarding this initiative.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the patriotic immersion program was decreed by the Council of Ministers on May 2, 2025, and is compulsory for all new high school graduates, lasting 30 days. The program aims to instill civic, patriotic, and self-defense values among participants through theoretical and practical training.

The Governor of the Gulmu region, Ram Joseph Kafando, emphasized the importance of the six modules included in the program: Burkina Faso, civic engagement and social responsibility, sociology of Burkina Faso, social cohesion, and intercommunity relations. He urged the participants to fully assimilate the knowledge received and reflect it in their daily behavior.

Participants expressed motivation and optimism about the immersion. "I hope this patriotic immersion will bring a qualitative change to our daily lives," said Wilfried Nar©. Jeanne Doussa also welcomed the initiative, stating that "our generation needs this patriotic immersion" and assured that the achievements of these 30 days will be put into practice.
