Post: Government Unwavering in Commitment to Service Delivery, Declares DP Kindiki

Meru: Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has reaffirmed the Kenya Kwanza Government's commitment to delivering services to Kenyans, emphasizing that they will not be swayed by distractions. The Deputy President made these remarks during an economic empowerment forum at Mwendantu grounds in Meru County.

According to Kenya News Agency, Prof. Kindiki highlighted that despite the presence of distractors, including those initiating early political campaigns, the government remains steadfast in its mission to fulfill the promises outlined in its 2022 election manifesto. He emphasized the government's focus on tangible progress and criticized time wastage on nonproductive matters.

Prof. Kindiki assured that under President Dr. William Ruto's leadership, there is a commitment to enhancing service quality and living standards for Kenyans. This commitment is to be achieved through effective management of public resources aimed at expanding economic activities and fostering a business-friendly environment.

The Deputy President also discussed ongoing efforts to broaden the nation's economy, particularly benefiting youth and women, as pledged during campaign periods. He dismissed the notion of waiting for campaign periods to offer superficial incentives, instead advocating for empowerment through substantial development initiatives.

Moreover, Prof. Kindiki challenged individuals opposed to government-led empowerment programs to openly express their positions, calling for transparency and honesty regarding their stance on these initiatives. He stressed that the government is ready to identify and address opposition to its programs.

In addition to economic empowerment, the Deputy President addressed the government's determination to combat illicit brews and drug abuse, which have adversely affected communities. He labeled substance dealers as adversaries of progress and pledged ongoing efforts to shield Kenyan youth from substance abuse's harmful impacts.
