Nairobi: The Social Health Authority (SHA) and key stakeholders in the health sector have reassured the public of the provision of quality healthcare without interruption across the country. In a strategic meeting chaired by the SHA chairperson Abdi Mohammed, representatives from the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) and the Kenya Association of Private Hospitals (KAPH) emphasized transparency and sustainable healthcare systems for all.
According to Kenya News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening partnerships, resolving universal challenges, and ensuring stable healthcare financing. Additionally, SHA and healthcare federations also committed to frequent meetings to substitute timely dialogue and address emerging issues promptly to enhance stakeholder engagement while at the same time developing a new working arrangement to sustain the payment scheme.
SHA will continue to address provider-specific concerns by linking with specific federations while also recognizing and upholding its contracts with individual health facilities, and this approach ensures that all concerns are resolved efficiently and transparently. KHF and KAPH reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative problem-solving and conflict resolution.
The initiative will influence the Ministry of Health's anti-fraud agenda, acknowledging the vital role of healthcare providers in this endeavor.
