Tunisia’s men’s beach handball team won the gold medal at the African Beach Games after defeating Morocco in the final on Monday.
The Maghreb derby was tied 1-1 at the end of regular time, with Morocco leading 21-15 and the national team responding 21-16.
The Tunisians came out on top in the long shoot-out, winning 14-12.
In another Maghreb derby, Libya edged out Algeria on shoot-out in a placement match earlier in the afternoon.
