The two Tunisian champions Mohamed Taieb and Khadija Krimi who won the gold medals of the beach rowing tournament as part of the 2nd African Beach Games (Hammamet-2023), said that their goal is to honour the national colours during the next World Games in Bali.
Khadija Krimi, champion of the games in the women’s single category, said she is proud of her last achievement after she won two gold medals at the 2023 World Indoor Championships in Canada.
“I am determined to push forward to win the mixed doubles gold this afternoon,” she told TAP.
Krimi pointed out that Tunisian rowers have been working so hard to improve their performance so as to achieve the best results in the next sporting events, starting with the World Beach Games scheduled for August in Bali, where Tunisia will be represented in the girls’ single, Men’s single and mixed double events.
Rower Mohamed Taieb, winner of the men’s single event, told TAP that this new achievement will motivate him to achieve better performances in the next rounds, after winning the silver medal at the last World Rowing Coastal Championships.
«I have a dual responsibility and a stronger determination now to obtain better results, especially at the Bali-2023 games,» he underlined.
