Post: Joho Offers Ramadhan Donation to Needy in Mombasa

Mombasa: In a significant goodwill gesture to the Muslim community in Mombasa during the holy month of Ramadhan, the government has distributed various foodstuffs to the needy in the coastal town. Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Joho, who presided over the distribution exercise, assured that the government offered the foodstuff to the needy members of society across all six sub-counties to alleviate their suffering during this period.

According to Kenya News Agency, Joho emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that no one goes hungry during this period when Muslims observe the dawn-to-dusk fast. He highlighted the equitable distribution of food across all six sub-counties, serving the deserving cases in Mombasa and Kenya. The food packages contain staples such as 600 bags of rice and 520 bags of beans, with the distribution process conducted in collaboration with local community leaders and administrative officials to ensure the aid reaches the intended recipients.

Joho announced that the food distribution would be coordinated through the DCC's offices in all six sub-counties, ensuring easy access for those in need. This initiative reflects the government's focus on social welfare and the importance of corporations.
