A joint task force composed of 3rd BIR and CAT elements Ngoketundjia Division, North West region, conducted a combined ambush and targeted operation between Ndop and Bamessing. The operation, launched in response to credible intelligence indicating a potential attack on the Balikumbat market and an explosion on the Rontong bridge, aimed to disrupt the activities of armed groups and ensure the safety of schools as they reopened.During the operation, two high-value targets were neutralized, identified as key members of the 'The Only Bro' group. These individuals, 'Amorca and Payah,' were responsible for the group's procurement activities, including the purchase of weapons and equipment, as well as the collection of ransoms, a security source said.A significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the neutralized individuals, including AK-47s, FAL rifles, various types of ammunition, and multiple magazines.
