The mortuary operations were paralysed for over two months after some of the machines, such as the coolant, which had been in use for a long time, broke down, leading to a shutdown of the mortuary and concerns among Kangundo residents.Machakos Chief Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health Dr. Daniel Yumbya, while speaking during the re-opening of the mortuary at Kangundo Level 4, said they have installed the new equipment and operations should be back to normal at the mortuary. He pinpointed that the coolants used in the mortuary were old since they existed before devolution, and the new coolants would help operations run smoothly at the mortuary.'The mortuary is reopened, all equipment are new, and we are informing Kangundo residents to come and receive their needed services,' added Dr. Yumbya.Source: Kenya News Agency
